Okay- so let's talk about next steps to make this happen! Before you begin, you need to make sure you have the right gear. The following equipment is what you'll need for this program:
· a decent pair of walking/running shoes
· a Jump-rope
· and boxer's hand-wraps
Functional movement is important and is the foundation of this plan. People need to move and it is as simple as putting one foot in front of the other.
So first, choose a date when you would like to begin and then set a goal to get at least (or about) 10K steps a day; or 50K to 70K per week. Pedometers are an easy tool to help track this and they are cheap and with a smart phone technology, they are even FREE!
Also, we recommend that you keep notes in a journal on your diet/nutrition. There are a number of free apps out there to help with this as well, but I use and recommend, "MyFitnessPal". Sign up for a free account, if you haven't done so already. Also, you may want to download a timer app like Boxing ITimer Liter. This app will help you keep track of the time while you jump rope.
